I am a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. I worked there for 2 years now and still going. I completed by Nurse Residency Program in May 2020, from Wyckoff Heights Medical Center.I am starting my Nurse Practitioner program in Fall 2020 at Long Island University.
Nursing is not a job, but a service. It does not offer a lot of money and it does not offer much freedom either, so if you become a nurse without realizing that you will be a servant, than this service is not for you. It is a blessing to serve, especially in Brooklyn, where the community is under-served and ridden by uneducated populates.
I love being a nurse that I became a preceptor for the future incoming Emergency Medicine Registered Nurses. Nursing and teaching is my passion so I combined them and joined Emergency Consultants, which offer me more freedom and more direct involvement in developing a health care plan for my clients.
My name is Eddie Purificati and I am an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. I have been working for 3 years now and I love it. I love the fast paced environment, the quick thinking and acting, but I really love the most is the patient interactions. I treat everyone as if they are part of my family. I hate to see a patient in critical condition.
This year I had experience gained working in an ICU setting in the Emergency Room. I took care of patients on 9 drips at a time. I have experience administering Vasopressors, performing all types of blood draws, placing in tubes and Foley and administering oxygen therapy to name a few. The experience has exceeded my expectations and this year I will be continuing my education in Nursing Practitioner.
I joined as a consultant for Emergency Consultants LLC, because I feel that many patients are under-educated about healthcare, even about the diseases they currently have. I strive to put an end to this educational gap and look forward to helping everyone get on a path of healthy well-being and satisfaction.
